Literal PRO
LITERAL PRO is a professional political and radical book fair that takes place during the month of May in Barcelona, parallel to the LITERAL fair. The fair has become one of the key events in the literary, intellectual and political landscape of the city, attracting thousands of people each year and a large number of professionals who exhibit their books and where conferences, debates and concerts are scheduled.
The aim of the fair is to offer an alternative space to the big European fairs, providing a pleasant environment where publishers and rights holders have time to exchange and share information about their publishing projects, imagine collaborations and assign or acquire rights.
Imagined as the professional side of the fair, LITERAL PRO was organized for the first time in 2019 at the initiative of the publishers Tigre de Paper Edicions and Bellaterra Edicions, and brought together almost a hundred publishers. It was repeated in 2022 and is currently held once a year. This professional space is managed by the Fira Literal organizing group.
LITERAL PRO 2025 will take place on May 22 and 23. Registration will be open from November 12, 2024.

Literal PRO will take place in the old industrial area of Fabra i Coats. At Carrer Sant Adrià 20 in Barcelona. Fabra i Coats is an old factory that hosted important workers’ struggles during the 1970s. It has been reclaimed as a public space for the community.
